WIP foxtoy mask 05

This commission is a prototype project.
We are trying to achieve a transformation look with this one. Somewhere between anthropomorphic fox and living pooltoy.

In this picture the shell got its base coat.
Since then, on the inside nosetubes and screens behind the openings have been installed to provide proper breathing and avoid peeking inside.

The next steps are attaching a fox-colored latex hood to the mask and cover the face part in accordingly colored liquid latex.

Unfortunately creating a durable proper bond between the fibreglass and natural latex turns out to be a problem. I have since wasted quite some money and several rubberhoods in the process. What saddens me more than those fallbacks is how that incredibly delays the finishing.

This is by far the longest time a prototype of mine ever took, but I'm still working on getting it done.
